WorkSource Northwest Georgia, which is managed by Northwest Georgia Regional Commission’s Workforce Development Department, provides employment and training services for individuals seeking employment, training, and education services in the Northwest Georgia area.  These services are available to individuals who reside in or who have been laid off from a job in the following counties:  Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield. Prospective Service Providers

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission, designated by the Northwest Georgia Workforce Board for procurement responsibilities for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act accepts Bidders on an ongoing basis to be added to a Bidder’s Checklist for procurement of job training services and procurement services.  If you are interested in being placed on the Bidder’s List(s), please complete the Bidder’s Checklist (s) to indicate which category(ies) you would be interested in receiving Request for Proposals (RFP).  The form (s)  may be mailed to Lesia Lambert, Director of Workforce Development, Northwest Georgia Regional  Commission, P.O. Box 1798, Rome, GA 30162-1798.  The Service Delivery Area for which services are planned include the following counties: Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield. The Northwest Georgia Workforce Development Board may not offer all of the listed services. Upon receipt of the completed Bidder’s Checklist, it  will be placed in our file.  Should a request for proposal be issued, you will be notified for each of the items on the checklist(s) in which you indicate interest.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) vision is to increase access and opportunities to employment, education, training, and support services to employment. WIOA aims to promote stronger alignment of workforce, education, vocational rehabilitation, and other human services systems in order to improve the structure and delivery of services to individuals.
