What is the purpose of the Northwest Georgia Career Center?
The purpose of the career center is to provide accessible services to meet the employment and training needs of every member of the community. The Northwest Georgia career center provides a means of connecting job seekers and employers.

Who can use the Career Center?
Northwest Georgia Resource Center has been created to serve all individuals, job seekers, and employers.  Anyone who needs assistance should be able to get it, whether or not the person meets the criteria for a specific governmental support program.

What services are provided to job seekers at the Career Center?
Services available to job seekers include information, resources, and services related to the following:

Veteran Services
Information about local, state, and national labor markets
Job and career resource room with computers, faxes and telephones
Access to America's Job Bank
Job referral, placement, education and training programs
On-the-Job Training
Testing
Job search workshops
Kids' corner with informational books and videos
Computers with Microsoft Office products and Corel Word Perfect
Georgia Career Skills Information System

How will the Career Center benefit employers?
Services available to employers include:

Recruitment and pre-screening of qualified applicants
Job and industry growth trends and forecasts
Wage data and other valuable labor market information
Compliance information on Federal regulations

How is the Northwest Georgia Career Center different from what is currently available?
Previously, customers wanting services from programs had to seek those services from several providers at multiple locations. The career center offers services to:

Assess your skills and develop a career plan
Match skills with current job openings
Improve resume writing, computer skills and interview skills
Provide access to the Internet for job search
Video Conferencing with other state agencies to avoid travel
Referrals to partner services
