At Mohawk we are happy we can call on the team at the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission to reserve the Mobile Career Center. The entire experience, from reserving the lab with Terri Morgan to having Shane and Chase Holden pull up to our doors, is a positive one. The team is a friendly and professional one that wants to help meet our area’s business and industry needs. We have used the Mobile Career Center for the online assessment for our DOL Registered Apprenticeship program twice. The Center more than meets our needs with a safe, clean, and user-friendly set up. Shane and Chase are always available for any technical issues could arise. We have been fortunate with our experiences and there have been no issues. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see or experience the use of this valuable resource, I highly recommend you check it out soon. You will not be disappointed. The Mobile Career Center was very helpful to accommodate several clients at once. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure that the VR staff’s needs were met and the VR client’s needs were met as well. VR staff asked lots of questions and the twins knew all the answers. The mobile career center made it possible to assist more than one Client at a time with completing the application. This increased the number of applications we could complete in a day. We cannot do that at our desk on personal computers. They also had a big screen connected to a computer and that made it easier to see the data. That is an excellent accommodation for a visually impaired person.

Due to the sheer number of clients the mobile unit was a big help with allowing each client to be able to have their own computer and allowing VR staff to better assist each client as needed. The saving of time alone was a big plus. The twins were very helpful always willing to jump in and help when anything came up with the computers or answer any questions concerning the mobile unit.
