Web Site There is a web site developed by CESER, Center for Employment Security Education and Research, to benefit everyone in our One Stops. This web site is http://www.icesa.org. The information is updated daily with events that are taking place with WIA (Workforce Investment Act) and One Stops in all states. America's Job Bank Information from a training class on "Marketing America's Job Bank to Employers" may be helpful as you serve customers.

Wynn will present an all-day session on "Introduction to Quality: How to Apply the Baldrige Principles." The session will be held September 24, 1999, at the Days Inn Training Room, 840 Turner McCall Boulevard, Rome, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The workshop is being provided free of charge by the Northwest Georgia Private Industry Council and will be particularly useful for staff involved in planning for and certification of One-Stop Shops. Career Development Facilitator Training, a series of 18 sessions, can lead to national certification as a Career Development Facilitator. The CDF curriculum consists of 120 hours divided into four modules (of approximately 30 hours each) that cover the wide range of skills and knowledge needed to provide effective career development facilitation. The next sessions will be available during the first six months of 2000 in Atlanta and Savannah. Life's Lesson: You can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something. The 1999 Georgia Workforce Conference, sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor, will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, December 9 & 10, 1999. The conference will provide the opportunity to get more information about the new Workforce Investment Act (WIA); experience an interactive One-Stop Center, share new ideas & initiatives; discuss challenges, expectations and opportunities; and learn how to attract and retain skilled workers.
