On-The-Job TrainingOn-the-Job Training (OJT) offers the opportunity to learn new skills while earning a pay check.
Eligible applicants will work with a WIOA Career Counselor to determine occupational interest and current skill levels so the appropriate referral to an employer can be determined. The Career Counselor will also provide information about all WIOA programs to determine which best suits the applicant’s needs. In addition, they may also provide information on or make referrals to other One Stop partner services. |
how it works
If the employer agrees to hire the applicant then the applicant will enter into On the Job training contract and employment with the company.
OJT training must be for a new skill and the job must a full time position. Upon successful completion of the OJT training, the employer may retain the trainee as a permanent employee.
